Good afternoon everyone.
I figured I would post a new one for you all before I head out for our trip. I will be gone a week,so no more posting until I get back.
We are heading for Texas in the morning and spending tomorrow night in Kansas and then finish the trip on Wed.
We are all getting so excited to see our boy. Some of us are driving and the rest are flying out of here Thursday night, so they will miss part of the ceremonies that are going on Thursday.I will post pictures when I get back.

 Hi I'm back. Things have been rather troubling around here for the last month and I just haven't felt like posting and really haven't had the time either. Going thru some real tough times with a good friend of mine.
She has had some hard things to deal with and it hasn't been easy for her. So I  have tried to be there for her.We have been having morning coffee with each other for 25 years and that might all come to an end. I feel so sad .
They are saying we could see some snow flakes in Minnesota! yucks- we just had 80 degrees weather today! It must be a April Fools joke! I gotta start thinking about meals for the hunting cabin. We are going up for the weekend at the end of the month and then the 9th of Nov we will be going up there for 5 days for deer hunting season. It will just be Jim, Lonny and me again this year. Not real excited about that. It's much more fun to have a bunch of us up there.
Well gotta go and get a few other things done on here. Take to you all later.

Hi friends, hope your week has been great so far, Geez, tomorrows Friday already! August is flying by so fast, I don't know where the summer has gone. Our grandson in Colorado has started school already, can you believe that?
The weather here has been just about perfect for the last few day- 70- 80 degrees with a nice breeze. Can't ask for it to be any better then that.
My brother and his wife arrived here from Missouri this evening, they stopped here on their way to my mothers and the camp ground by her house where they will be staying. They just got back from a month in Colorado. Travelers they are. We are getting the whole family together on Sunday for a BBQ- can't wait, good food and a great time to catch up on each others lifes.  I'm going over in the morning to visit for a couple hours, Jim will be sleeping because he is working nights this week. So I just have to be back here to get him up and feed him supper before he heads back to work.

I made these a while back to do a layout for my grandson, hope you like!
We got back last night from Missouri and had a wonderful visit with my brother Punk and sister-in-law Doris.Trip went well, just got lost a "little" bit! I was the one directing Jim about where to turn! I didn't take us much out of our way, we did see a lot of corn fields in Iowa tho' , but I expect we would have seen them no matter what road we would have been on. Had a fun time seeing all my nieces and nephew and a new great niece that was just added to the family 3 months ago. And she is beautiful! We took my mom with us , she hasn't been down there since my brother got married and none of us had seen their new house.
Now it's getting things ready for our daughter and grandsons visit . They are coming from Colorado on Friday and will be here for a week!!! I can't wait. She hasn't been home for a year and a half. We have been out there, but it's nice to have her come home too. Scott isn't able to come with them this trip( which we're all really disappointed about)  but that's the way it goes, he will be home for Christmas with them. Tyler stayed here for a month last summer but can't this year because he has football practice all summer and he just started . We will take the time that we can get with them and enjoy every minute of it.
I got the basement all cleaned up this afternoon and got the beds all made up and ready for them. Now I'm baking cookies while I'm doing this.  Tomorrow I have to start cleaning the rest of the house. ick!!!

Today is my birthday. Jim took me out for supper and the kids and grandkids are coming over tomorrow and we

are going to celebrate my birthday and our daughter-in-laws and have a BBQ . I got a really cute bear statue for outside -from Jim. He's leaning on a sign that says "Wipe Your Paws" and he has one of his feet picked up and is looking on the bottom his foot and there is a little squished gnome!! He is cute as can be.

Real quick post, I've been real busy the last couple of days, cleaning cabinets, drawers and moving stuff around. We got our new refrigerator today and I love it! It's black and has the freezer on the bottom instead of the top. How can a person fall in love with a Frig!!!? I did! LOL

Hi All- not much going on here, it snowed again last night, something we didn't need! LOL So it was back to shoveling again this morning and it sounds like we will be getting more again tomorrow. yucks!
I baked cookies this morning and shoveled and that was about it for any work out of me. We watched the super bowl and "yes" way to go Packers!!!
I'm a Viking Fan but being they didn't make it to the Super Bowl then I had to go with the next best thing.

I just had to do this woedart- it seems like a zoo around here some days, all of us going in different directions - some of us coming in and some going out---or the noise is so loud -you would think we had a house full of people instead a of just a few of us. And then other days like tonight it's so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Jims working nights- Rhonda is gone for the weekend and the grandkids are gone to their dads for the weekend. So it's just me and the dog holding the fort down tonight! I'm going to try to get some scrapping done. I haven't done a layout for ages and I have so many new pictures to scrap..

My wordart For Today

Good Morning, We got Rhonda off on the plane yesterday and she arrived safe and sound in N.C. and her sister and Tyler met her at the airport! They called after she got there and both the girls sounded like teeagers again! All giggly

and happy to see each other. It was so nice to hear!

They were leaving N.C. early this morning and were driving about 12 hrs and then stopping for the night. Scott is driving here this morning from Kansas and will get to see Kim and Tyler for a short visit before he leaves.Thank God for that, I know Tyler wanted and needed to see his Dad and Kim and Scott need to see each other again

Me and Jim went out for supper last night(which we haven't done in ages) and then we rented a couple of movies and went home and watched them.

No rain again yesterday, so all we can do is hope we get some this weekend or early next week.

Todays wordart is just something silly to put a smile on your face and maybe give you your giggle for the day. I thought it would be cute on some of the kids pages and maybe even some of those big PEOPLES pages.

Good morning! This wordart just seemed fitting for me today! I'm sure there isn't too many of you who don't have days like this! Jim says that some days I forget to come back!!!

We got our rain finally yesterday afternoon and it rained into the evening, so we got quite a bit, with more coming today! YES!!! We really need it. Jim got the grass mowed before it rained, which is good, because otherwise it wouldn't get mowed until next week, and by then we would have had a hay field out there. He goes back to work tomorrow and by the time he gets home at night , he really doesn't feel like mowing grass.

Shirley, I don't know if the snake" away or rid" works or not, all of Kim's neighbors seem to think it does. But this is the first snake that she has seen since they moved there which is about a year and a half, so how will she know if it's the snake rid or if their just not coming out. It rained there a lot yesterday, so now she has to reapply the stuff! I will keep you up-dated.

We got a new sercurity light put out by our garage, the old one quit working and there was a lot of noise out there the other night, car doors closing and stuff and I was here alone all night, so we got a new motion one. I feel much better about it now. Kim was saying that she went somewhere the other night and that these people had a talking motion one---"YOU ARE TRASPASSING, STEP AWAY FROM THE LIGHT!" Wouldn't that one be great?? I would probably fill my pants if it was me that it started talking to!!!!!

We went up to Kathy and Lonny's last night, we were going to watch Maggie play ball, but it got cancelled because of the rain, but we decided to take the boys with us and go visit for a bit. The boys enjoyed getting together with the girls and playing .

I watched a bit of the Country Music Awards after we got home, I was a little disappointed on some of the winners, but I guess it was the fans that did the voting on this one. I guess it was only the videos
