help to get into the spirit of the season. I had the grandkids here today doing our traditional "Grandmas Sugar Cookie" bake day. Our youngest granddaughter actually made all the arrangements and got the other kids together for it. It was a wonderful afternoon. Two of the grandsons weren't able to make it, one is in the AF and over seas and the other one had to work.
I am feeling very blessed , I have a beautiful family, a wonderful home and great friends, last but not least I'm feeling pretty good.

I bet your all getting anxious just like me to get outside and clean up your yards and flower beds. It's still a bit early here in Minn. but our snow is gone, with the exception of a few little piles by buildings. We are expecting rain this weekend , so I'm guessing it will take care of the little bit of snow we have. Suppose to be up in the 60's! We are going to skip right over spring and go into summer. I love spring, but I'm thinking we are going to get the real hot weather sooner then we want. I would love to have it in the mid to high 70's all the time.
Me Jim and another couple joined the YMCA and have been going about 3 times a week. I am still having trouble walking very far, so I have been using the tread Mill and I'm hoping that strengthens  my one lung. And I started my diet again, figured I'd better lose some weight too, that should help with my breathing. My goal is 50lbs! But right now I would love to see a loss of 10 lbs on the scale!
Cross fingers for me. I go back for my CT scan again in May and if this one is still cancer free, I don't have to have another one for a year. woohoo. I'm getting the scans now every 6 months.

It sounds like a huge amount of the USA is going into a deep freeze in the next few days. We are part of it. Yuck, I freeze this winter.  On a positive note, the sun is shining today, we haven't seen a lot of it in the last week or so. We didn't get the last snow storm that they were saying we would get. went west of us.
I didn't even leave the house today.  We joined the YMCA with another couple, so have been going there 3 days a week, and boy do these old bones ache. But I think it's helping build my lung up a bit and I feel stronger in my legs. My legs have been really weak since I had my surgery and Chemo, so any thing that makes me stronger is a plus. Besides it makes us get out of the house, even if it's cold. LOL

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been on here for ever. our daughter has been very sick and was in the hospital, so we were driving up to Abbott Med center every day. It's about a hr drive each way, lots of worrying about her  and just not enough time in one day to get anything done. She is home now and is doing very good. It's so hard to see your child (no matter how old they are) hooked up to a ton of tubes going every which way!
It has finally cooled off here in my part of Minnesota, at least for a few days. Fall is in the air. I love Fall, and I'm even looking forward to day light saving time when we switch back. I know, dumb right?!
Our son and daughter-in-law bought a lake cabin in WI, so we are going to spend Labor Day over there with them. And then in a few weeks we are heading up north to our cabin in the woods, things to get ready for the guys deer hunting season which is in Nov. We will take our 4-wheelers and do a bit of riding too, It's always so nice this time of year.

Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers out there and to the moms that are both mom and dad in your household. And there are a lot of you out there and I give you all so much credit for doing both jobs!
I have a wonderful husband that helped me raise our 3 kids and some times I wished there was more help. LOL But I must say, we did a pretty good job! We have wonderful kids!
We have spent part of the weekend finishing pressure washing our deck and running back and forth to our granddaughters softball games- there was a tourament this weekend. We got to puppy sit for our kids, because they stayed in a motel over night close to the softball fields and they let the girls go swimming. We just drove back and forth.

Hi I'm back with another freebie for you all.
We worked outside today being it was a bit cooler. We had some trim around our windows and one door that needed to be scrapped and repainted and the new door that Jim put on my shed needed primed today also before we can paint it. So I scrapped and he put the primer on the stuff. Tomorrow we get to paint it all. FUN! LOL  
Kim and Tyler got left on Sat Morning and made it home in about 14 hours, the most important thing was that they made it home safe. You know how it is being a mom, no matter how old our kids get we still worry. Right?
Did I tell you all that our 4-wheeler got stolen? Ron  had borrowed it to go up North the weekend we went to Missouri and brought it home and had it all washed up, but hadn't had a chance to bring it back to us. He had it in his back yard and someone stole it one night. So now Jim has no 4-wheeler . We are waiting to hear back from insurance to see how much they will pay us for it. We will never beable to replace it for the money that they give us. Life has a way of kicking ya in the butte at times. But I'm sure it will work it self out - somehow. Lets Hope!

Good Morning All.....May your day be filled with laughter and Smiles!

My last couple of days have went very well.. got a lot done, that both me and Jim were worrying about getting completed before he went back to work this week. Those are marked off our list, and we will slowy get the rest done before the snow hits us in the face! I'm going to try to get our deck stained this week while he is working (midnight shift) or sleeping.

we are going with a toner instead of a stain, we're hoping this holds up better then the stain. Winter shoveling is a killer on deck boards! LOL

Hi, it's been a few days since i was on here, sorry about that. Life got in the way again! LOL No, really Jim had the last few days off from work and we were busy. We got a bunch of our trees and bushes trimmed and all of that hauled to the compost and got our trailer checked out before we head up North again in a couple of weeks. I really don't want to be sitting on the side of the freeway again. Jim started back to work tonight , he has a 4 night run of 12 hours, so he will be pooped when he comes off of this shift.
I'm dog sitting this weekend for our son's dog "Lucy" who is a little beagle and she isn't real fond of Chinook, but of course Chinook loves her and won't leave her alone. I'm trying to figure out what to do with the 2 of them tonight. I guess I'll have to bring Chinook into our room. Lonny and family are going up to Duluth and then into Wis. They make a trip up there every fall and the girls really look forward to it.

Good morning, it's been a while since I posted any new freebies- sorry about that- just haven't had time to be on here. We have company staying here a few days , birthday parties, hubby had a bunch of days off and lots of work outside to get done. And of course the Pup is keeping me running. She weights 56 lbs now and is strong- we have a ton of fun on our walks (runs)!!!! You always have to be ready for her, she might see another animal and OFF she goes- and You are off and running. I'm sure I have gave more then one person their laugh for the day! I can't hardly wait for the day that she gets her brain- just kidding, she is a real smart puppie and si learning every day.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, now we can get back to normal- everyones spring break is over - at l;east here, I know some parts of the country are still on it this week yet.

I turned my hear off the other day and then last night it got down in the 30's, it rained most of the day yesterday and was icky all day.
