How was your weekend? We had a good one, and the weather was great, pretty warm and a lot of our snow on our roofs melted, thank heavens. It is turning colder again starting today, but I can deal with the cold, just really hate the snow and especially the freezing rain.
We are going out for supper and bingo with another couple tonight, kinda looking forward to it.
I'm going to forget how to cook ( I wish) we have been out quite a few time this last week. Breakfast and supper. HaHa
We got a new car and we are loving it. A 2020 Chevy Blazer, our very first brand new car! We have washed it 3 times in the last week!! With the snow and slish it is impossible to keep it clean.

Ok today I decided to do one old one and one new one for you all.
The sun is shining here and it's in the mid 60's, so no complains about the weather., at least today. Tomorrow is going to be a different story.
Went out for breakfast with Neil and Sue, then came home and took Chinook for a walk and then went and got my hair cut. She cut it a little shorter then I was wanting it, but it's ok, it grows pretty fast.
Tomorrow I think I will head over and see mom, I have been feeling shitty with a head cold , so didn't go over there yesterday or today. Don't want to give her my cold or any of the other residents.
Just under 3 weeks and we will be heading back up north to the hunting cabin for deer season.
We have a generator up there so I can take my lap top with me and do scrapbooking, and my books. Very good time to read too. It will be just the 3 of us again this year, so it will be quiet up there, we were hoping that daughter and son-in law and two grandkids were going with us, but those plans fell thru. darn--

Here ya go, hope this finds you all enjoying the rest of your summer, school will be starting in a few week. Boy where has the summer went? 

I bought some mums the other day and threw some of my other plants out,when mums come out I think of Fall, sorry I know that is bad of me, but it just does.

I'm still trying to get a lot of my stuff changed over onto my new hard drive, but its such a long process. I haven't done any scrapping in weeks---not good.

I have been sick the last few days and last night was awful--- I was so sick, I was almost wishing I could die.  Feeling much better today. The other bad thing is I don't dare go and visit mom, don't want her catching this shit! And she hasn't been answering her phone, which we know that she is to the point that she doesn't remember how to answer it any more.She has gotten really bad the last month and a half, doesn't know most of us. We the dr, took her off of one of her pills thinking that might be what is causing such a quick chance in her. We will see, so far I haven't noticed any thing better.

Good afternoon everyone. it's a rainy cool day here, but I'm enjoying the rain, we need it--I know a lot of you out there Don't need anymore, and from what I see on the news it must be awful for you all.
I'm so sorry for you all.
I went and visited mom today and she seems to be doing pretty good, except for the pain in her legs and arms. I keep telling her that it's from Old-age, but she doesn't think that is very funny. She is
pretty good today about remembering everyone, So I hope that she is good next week when my brother and sister-in-law come from Missouri for a visit. I'm sure she will know my brother, not sure about my sister-in-law tho. She has the most trouble with names except of those people that she sees a lot.
Got all my flowers planted and now with this rain they should get a good start. I Hope! I did a bit of sewing after I got home, but it sure wasn't a great day for doing that, my sewing machine didn't want to do any thing right this afternoon! Got the project done after a bit of cussing!
Well, I'm going to go and play a little in my scrapbooking program and see what I can make happen--maybe some more wordart for you all or maybe some scrapbooking pages that I am so far behind on, we'll see.

Happy Easter Everyone! Hope you had a great day with your families. We did, had part of our family here with us today, some were unable to be here, because of illness, other family issues or just to far away. For those that weren't with us in body, there were here with us in our thoughts.
This evening is now quiet and we are just going to veg out the rest of the night. I will probably do a little scrapping, while Jim naps  off his
full stomach! and then we will probably just watch something on TV tonight.

Thanks to all of you that have stopped by recently, I love it that you take the time to check out my site. I had a real cute one that I was going to post today, but seen that I had screwed up on the spelling, so will have to redo it and post another day. This one today is more serious, and so true. We have had quite a few things happen in our family in the last few month and this here really 'FITS.!
None of it has been anything to be happy about.  Yesterday the news we received was a real shocker and threw us for a loop. I'm not going to discuss it on here today, maybe later, but please never take any thing or anyone for granted, because you really don't know what tomorrow is going to bring.

How was everyones Thanksgiving? We had a great day spent with the family. Lots of family bonding and way to much to eat. But I guess that happens around this time of the year.
How are you doing with your Christmas shopping? I got mine about 3/4 done. It's going to be mostly money this year for the kids, just have no idea what to get them. I got my tree up, but that is about all I'm putting up this year being we are going to go to Colorado for Christmas. This will be the first year in many that all of my kids won't be with us at Christmas. Our one daughter and family won't be going to Colorado with the rest of us, so we will be missing them a lot.
I'm heading over to visit my mom this morning and probably take her shopping for a few things, it's so darn cold that she probably won't want to leave her apartment. LOL

Hi everyone, thought it was time to add a new freebie. I am going to have to get busy and do some more work on here, I haven't been on here doing any wordart or my scrapbooking pages. I'm slacking big time. Today I have just been lazy, haven't done much of anything. It's only 66 degrees and I'm freezing! I know- a lot of you have it a lot cooler then we have. I don't want to turn any heat on yet, so I dug out my slippers and socks! LOL  I have been hearing a lot on facebook say that they have put their heat on , at least to warm it up a bit.I just can't get myself to do that yet, I guess I'm just cheap! Watching the football game- Minn Viking and New England and we are getting our butts beat really bad!
Jim and I are heading up to Rosemont to watch our granddaughter Maggie play a softball game- she has two games back-to-back, we won't get there to see all of the first game, but at least a lot of it. Got my sweatshirt on and my blanket along in case I need it. We have sat out in a soccer and a baseball field in Oct and let me tell you, it can get darn cold. We have needed our coats, mittens and a blanket and still are freezing. Dang, I'm getting to be a wimp!!

Hi ! I'm back!! We were in Colorado  visiting our daughter and family. It was so nice
to get away for a few days, but of course it's always good to come home too.
We left on the 30th of May and came back this Tuesday the 4th. It's about a 15 hour drive
 if you just stop for gas and potty breaks. We usually stop and have breakfast and usually a lunch
but this time, it was just breakfast and we snacked as we drove ( for lunch)! LOL  We left
here at 3 am, so we got a early start.
We went to Seven Falls and some of the "guys" walked up the 285 steps to the top of the
Mountain, but not this girl! I took the elevator to the half way mark ( Eagle Nest).
One day we took a tour of the Coors Brewery and that was a very interesting  tour, if you every get
over by Denver and are looking for something to do, I say check it out.
It's cold here in Minn, could actually have had a little heat today, but I toughened it out and just added a sweater. Tomorrow it's suppose to be up in the 70's so that should be just about perfect.
Jim is working the night shift this week, so I'm going to try to get some scrap booking done. Haven't
done any pages in a while, just lost my MoJo and just can't seem to get into it. I have a ton of
pictures to work with and  a lot of new kits that I have bought in the last few months, and that isn't
counting all the great freebies that some of the designers are so generous to give us.So I am going to
go and see if I can do some scrapping. Wish me luck!

Today i'm going to be baking some sugar cookies- Easter cookie cutters- don't usually do these at Easter- just Christmas, but found some cute bunny and egg cutters, so thought me and the 2 boys would do some for Sunday. They will be here this afternoon and then we can bake and frost them. I have the dough all ready, did that last night.

I'm hoping to get out and do a liitle yard clean-up this morning before it starts to rain this afternoon. So after Char leaves (she comes for coffee in the morning) I'll take Chinook for her walk and then see about doing something outside. I did get my front porch all cleaned up yesterday, s that if it's nice when Liz is here this week, we can sit out there and have our coffee in the morning. It got up to 78 degrees here yesterday- they figured that we might hit 82 today, but it's awful gloomy looking outside now.

I thought this was so true of so many people, it makes you think about your life and where your heading and it kinda makes you laugh. Hope you can use it.

The snow is melting here in Minn and we are expecting rain for the next 3 to 4 days, so that should pretty much take care of our snow banks. Hopefully it doesn't go to fast, afraid for some of our rivers to start flooding and those people that are living by them don't need that again this year.

We're looking at our travel plans for June and trying to find some reasonable priced tickets for our flight to N.C. I know it seems like a long way away, but it will be here before we know it!

Kim has the house up for sale and that people come and look at it yesterday, cross your fingers and hope that it sells fast for her. Scott is getting anxious to come home on R&R this coming month and Tyler is ready for daddy to come home and I know that Kim can't hardly wait for the first of April.

I'm baking cookies this morning and some more of my Bran muffins- we call them our colon Muffins!!! They do help with our diets. I started adding dates to them -instead of raisins all the time, it's a nice change and they are good and only 1 point apiece if your doing weight Watchers.

We better go and get something done this morning.
