We are getting hit with another snow storm here in Minnesota and then tonight the temps are dropping, so we are going to have ice packed roads and sidewalks. A lot of the snow has melted when it hits the road because it has been pretty warm here until yesterday. It's April and Spring, we aren't suppose to be getting more snow. The poor flowers that popped up out of the ground, really are getting a shock!!

I think this one is so true, I have discovered even more then before how much we need friends when we are going thru tough times. Friends can do things that family can't some time.
I am starting chemo on Wed right here in Northfield, so I don't have to travel  for treatment- thank goodness, and I have so many things going thru my head,--Lets get this done--scared of how i'm going to feel (sick feelin)---scared of losing my hair- Is that a vanity thing?-- I have it so much better then a lot of people, so I am grateful. Yesterday was a really good day for me, I had so much energy, very little coughing. today not as much, but not to bad.
It's still hot as heck here, in my part of Minnesota got up this morning and actually thought we might be able to turn air off,
no such luck.  The humidity kicked in and it's hot!!  Jim got out and got the grass mowed and we finished off the flower bed bricks, so that looks great again.
This evening we are going to visit some friends, Jim needs to let a little stress out and I need to get out of this house, I worry about how things are going with me, but I also know Jim is trying to keep a cheerful face for my sake, but I know that he is worried too. He has been so great thru all this, I love this man!

Hi all, Happy NewYear! Hope you all had wonderful Holidays. We had a great trip to Colorado, spending time with the family out there. It is good to be home and to have things start to get back to normal. Jim retired on the 21st of Dec. so now I have to adjust to a new normal! LOL

We found out when we got home that our dish washer was leaking again, so we have spent the last couple days, tearing up part of our kitchen flooring and replaceing it. Thank goodeness Menard still carried this wood flooring, so we didn't have to replace the whole thing.

Went up to our son and daughter-in-laws and spent the day there today. Had a great time with them and the 2 girls. We did fondue (chicken, steak, bread, shrimp and a few other items) and sat around and played games. We went out for breakfast this morning with friends, so it's been a good first day of 2015!

Tomorrow will be busy trying to get the floor done. Birthday party for our grandson on Sunday afternoon. Next week all the kids go back to school, and then we can all settle in for the winter. We are suppose to go into a "deep" freeze in a few days, so better enjoy the next couple of days with  temps in the 20's.

Think it's time to go and read a bit before I head for bed. Have a great weekend everyone.

We have to go up this weekend to get it ready for Hunting season which starts the 8th of Nov. We have to winterize it and the guys have to check out their deer stands to see if they need any repairs done on them. It's suppose to be about the same temp up there or at least close to what they are going to have here at home. We are hoping to get a bit of 4-wheeling done to, haven't been up there much this summer.

Hi, how is everyone doing with this awful weather every where. Snow, mud slides, tornados, fires, --
What is happening? We are so lucky that we just have crappy cold weather. I feel so bad for all the people that are losing their homes. I know what that feels like.
Getting ready for company tomorrow, my bestest friend Liz from my home town and her husband are coming tomorrow for a few days. We haven't seen each other since before Christmas. so I'm kinda excited.
to get caught up on all the news from back home.
I did go and buy a couple plants yesterday, one I planted in the ground, the other I didn't. They are expecting a deep freeze tonight, so I think I will wait for another week before I buy any more. Me and my daughter were going to get some this weekend for her garden, ( she is having a garden wedding on the 27th) but we decided to hold off on them for another week. But it will get warmer soon, I just know it, at least that is what the weatherman says. LOL

Hi -- I did this up the other day. Was thinking of my Life Long friends and that is how this wordart came about. We have many friends over the years , but it seems like we only have a few that we can
call, "life long" ones. You know the ones--- the ones that you might not have seen for 10 years and when you get together it feels like you have never been apart. Am I right? 
Well the weather is finally warming up and all our snow is starting to thaw- we have lost  a lot over the last few days. We can even see some grass! I can back out of my driveway now and see over the snow banks to check if there are any cars coming, I couldn't do that  a couple of days ago. It has been in the 40's the last few days, but now tonight it is suppose to cool off--- "don't really like the sound of that! LOL Tuesday we are expecting up to another 6 inches of snow! Such a weird year!

This is so true of me and my close friends, some days we even finish each others sentences!!
Isn't that weird that friends can do that? We know how eat other talks and what they mean- much better then our husbands! LOL
The cold is back again here today- they closed the schools all around us except ours- we started 2 hours late. Is't suppose to warm up tomorrow and then snow- 2-6 inches. geeze couldn't we just have
a nice day - just for a break. I gotta go over and visit mom in the morning before it starts snowing, because I won't get over there this weekend the way it looks. I went and got mom on Sunday Morning and brought her home with me and she spent Sunday and Monday morning with me and Jim and then we took her home after lunch . She needed to get out of her apartment for a bit.
Jim is back on midnight shift this week, so I'm hoping I can get some more scrapping done. I did get quite a few done last week. I'm going to post some new ones on here, so don't forget to go check them out.

Hi, it's been to long since I was on here to give you guys a freebie. Have you been by?

We were out of town last weekend, had fun visiting our family up North, not to far, just 3 hours north of us.

And we got our gambling fix in, so n ow we should be good for 6 months or so! lol I did pretty good

playing black-jack, but not much luck on the slot machines. Jim wasn't having much luck on either one. 

Isn't that the way it goes, one wins and the other one loses, very seldom do both of you win at the same 

time.

When we got home we decided to go shopping for one of those "little" snowblowers. We have a big one, but I wanted a littler one that would work on our deck and the sidewalks for when Jim was working. I can

use the big one, but it's not that light to handle. Soooooo.....

Any way we didn't come home with a snow blower , but we did  buy a new living room set- couch - 2 chairs and 2 ottomans! Had to wait 2 days to have it delivered, so we were watching Tv while lying on the floor! Our daughter got our other furniture and took that home on Sat. night. So we were without any until Yesterday.  Jim was working yesterday, and guess what the delivery guy came by himself and had no one but me to help him unload and carry it into the house! We had quite a time, but did get it in here.

Have you ever bought something and thought it wasn't that big in the store and got it home and it seems huge?! That's my furniture! lol  I do like it, but wish my livingroom was a bit bigger.

Well, this was going to be just a short post and I have been rambling on here forever.

The snow is slowly melting, and then at night freezes and the sidewalks are terrible in the morning when me

and Chinook go on our walk. So we have mostly been walking on the road.

Hi all! just a short note tonight before I head for bed. Beautiful spring like day here today, I think it got up
to 37 degrees today. Not bad when some states were getting 2 ft of snow. What a weird weather year we have had. I sure hope this summer isn't like that- if it is, then we will have the extreme heat again, and I don't like that--that's why I live in Minn and not down South! LOL I'm real happy when it's 80degrees with a breeze.
We went and visited my mom today and had a nice visit, had some pictures of the grandkids for her and
took her some fresh baked cookies. It's been about 2 weeks since we have been over there, so it was time
Whjen we got back to town I dropped Jim off at home and then went and got my hair cut. I have been putting that off for a few weeks too, just didn't know if I wanted to let it grow or not.

Me and the boys tried to give chinook a bath today in a little pool--she wasn't having nothing to do with it! I couldn't drag her into it. so we just got her wet and shampooed her "by " the pool! LOL I think she was a little up-set with us for a while. But she is now clean!
Jim is working all weekend, they started Sunday work last week, so he will have 4 12 hour days this week. It's nice for a change, we can sure use the extra money, that's for sure.
His hand is still sore tho" so it will be a long week for him\, and a quiet weekend for me. I'm planning on getting a little bit of scrapbooking done.

I'm back- do you have any friends that would say this to you- I do!! LOL Most of them reading this right now would say " I would never say that to you" - yes they would!. But I love them because I know that they really do care.
We are heading up to Northern Minn in the morning - going to our hunting cabin in the woods. We will be doing a bit of spring cleanin g and a lot of 4-wheeling. Just talked to a friend up there and she tells me that they are expecting rain all weekend. That bites the bullet!! We are suppose to get rain here all weekend too- so where should we be?? Probably here, at least then I can play on my computer, we have no internet service up there. But guess what I'm sure the guys are going to vote for the cabin. So I have my wine and a good book and friends to spend time with, so what more could I ask for~~~~right? Right!

Hi everyone- something a little different today- we all have our computer friends that we will never meet, but they are still very good friends.

Today has been a pretty nice one- I got the rest of my yard raked and then went over to Cannon Falls to visit with my mom for a few hours. I even took the dog along. She wasn't real sure about going into a different house, I guess the only housed that she has been in is our and Rhondas. with a little coaching I got her in and she was real good while we were there.

Tomorrow will be a lazy day , I think- a little grocery shopping and then maybe work on some digiatal scrapbooking- layouts and wordart probably. Gotta try to stay aheadwith the wordart for all of you guys.
