I have done very little in the last few months. I have tons of pictures that need to get scrapped, but the outside keeps calling me! lol It's way to hot today to even be outside doing anything, so I only sat out on the deck early this morning with hubby and a couple of friends having our morning coffee. Did a little shopping at JoAnnes Fabric, so now I have a sewing project that I am not looking forward to, but needs to get done. So probably tomorrow.

I had surgery last week, They fund cancer in my right  lung, so I had to have the lung removed.
I',m not feeling too bad, just no energy, but that will come back, slowly I'm sure.

I did this wordart up the other day. As most of you  that stop by here on a regular basis,know  we had to put my mom in a assisted/memory care apartment about a year and a half ago.She is 84 and
has some form of dementia, weather its alzheimers or another form, I don't know, I just know that I am slowly losing my mom and there isn't a darn thing any of us can do about it. She still knows her kids and the grandkids that she sees all the time,, but any that she does see on a reg. basis,she can't remember their names, She still knows how to answer her cell phone, but is having trouble on
calling someone, I call her everyday and go over to see her 2 times a week, but I'm afraid soon she isn't going to remember how to answer her phone, so then I won't be talking to her each day. She lives in another town about 20 minutes away from me. Each day I notice more changes in her and  I just want to cry. Some days she is her normal self and is just "mom". She has done embroidery for years and in the last month or so she has stopped doing it completely.
Anyway I read this verse some where  and wanted to use it  on a layout  that I am doing of mom, so I decided to share it with you. I'm sure there are a lot of you that are going thru the same thing in your family and if you haven't talked to others about it, you should,  Some of the things that we have had to do with mom are the hardest things I have ever had to do in my life- like making her move out of her home and her not having a say in any of it- she just wasn't able to, but that didn't make it any easier. I've talked to others that are going thru this and they all say the same thing- "we have no other chose".
Enough already---LOL Hope some of you can use this and if you know who wrote it, please let me know so I can give them credit. I would love to see your layouts if you do use it.

We were up North this past weekend and had a great time. Got some lights hooked up and did some 4-wheeling and even got some visiting in with old friends that we haven't seen for a while. Got a little snow up there too, it didn't last very long, but there was flurries. A sneak peek at the coming weather! yuck.

Hi~~it's been a few days since I have been on here. You know how it goes, every day life some times gets in the way of our fun time! LOL No but really I have been busy getting my decorations up in the house and the house itself cleaned. I'm in a cookie exchange again this year, so I have been baking for that and then just my regulare Christmas baking. Me and 2 of the grandkids baked and frosted my Christmas Sugar Cookies. I had to quick freeze some of them or the boys would have eaten them all before the day was over.
And then last night I decided to change the look of my blog~~~~Oh what a pain in the ass that is for me and I know that too, but yet  I change it!  Is that
dumb or what Any way I got it done, decided to go with one that I used a while back. I need to learn to make them for myself. I figure if I can do desk-top backgrounds I should beable to do a blog background. Right?
Well better get this finished, gotta go frost some cookies.

Hi - I'm finally back! Did you see my new background and header here on my blog? Whata ya think. I love it. It's a newspaper background with the swirls on it, the crow is a bit different, but I was tired of all the flowers and stuff - I'll go back to that when it starts to get warm out again!!! I got it off from www.backgroundfairy.com She has quite a few different ones.
I have been really lazy for the last couple of days- haven't done much of anything in the house here and I spent most of yesterday and today doing my blog over (arrangement)
I even tried to make my own background- actually I did make a real pretty one, but it wouldn't show up on my blog, so I don't know what I did wrong. So I have decided to let the others make them and I would just use theirs!

WORDART FRO MARCH 11 '09

Today is Wed and we are half way thru the week already. I'm setting here at the computer watching all the kids walk by my house and the are all bundled up. We didn't really get any of the last storm that hit the Western and Northern part of Minn, but we sure did get the cold front off from it last night. It's -2 degrees here thismorning and you can really tell in the house here too. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Jim will have to get his long johns back out!!!! LOL Up North -in the Falls, where we used to live , they had gotten 14 inchs of snow by 7pm last night and it was still coming down. I talked to Liz and she said they hadn't even starting to plow yet, which I thought was unsual. Usually they are out right away. Maybe they were just so busy with the Hwys they hadn't gotten a chance to start on the streets.
