Good Morning Everyone! I missed posting yesterday, so thought I would post a little freebie today and up-date what is going on in my daily life. NOTHING too exciting! Which is just fine with me, I love the normal everyday DAYS! I have had enough things happening in the last 2 years that I'm good for a while!
We have had the boys here with us the last 2 days and it feels good to have others around , besides just Jim and Me. It will be nice on the days that Jim is working. They helped grandpa yesterday with unloading all the scrap stuff that we had to haul to the waste management place . We had old siding , new siding scraps, old windows and a old door. Jim had it all sorted in case we had to drop it off at different spots and of course wouldn't you know it, we dumped it all in one spot!
Tyler has his last day of school today, he wasn't real excited about going today, some of the kids weren't going, I guess, so he thought he might stay home too- Kim said no-he was goijng! He is getting real anxious to come home to Minnesota. I think its about 30 days until they come. We're anxious for them to come and in a different sense it makes it hard- because that means Scott will be deployed at that same time.
We are having a birthday party for Bob on Sunday, just a chips and dip and beer get together - I will probably make a cheese cake - the kids need something sweet for a party! LOL Bob doesn't like cake, so I usually make up something different if we're all together. And the guys seem to like the cheese cake idea.
It's going to be another cloudy day with some rain in the forecast- I think we have broken a record for so many days in a row in June for being under 50 degrees. But listening to everybody else, it sounds like a lot of other states are getting the same cold spell as we are. I miss the sun, but not the HOT.
We had to go and buy a mailbox the other day. The postal service no longer wants to have their mail carriers walk up steps to put the mail in the boxes. We have the big open front porch and of course the mailbox is up here on the wall by the door, so she has to come all the way up the steps and over to the door. It's perfect for me- I just reach out the door and grab my mail, I don't have to get wet if it's raining or even put boots or shoes on in the winter, that is all going to change! Even for the people who have the mail slots in their doors, they won't be able to use them any more. One of their mail carrier fell last year and got hurt (on icy steps). I guess I understand where they are coming from- but it still isn't something I'm happy about. Oh well, what's a person to do?
Well, I guess I should quit my blabbering for today and get this posted. Have a great day everyone and I'll probably see ya tomorrow.
Hugs
